Sensations of Sound

For those who are deaf, music is not just about sound. In this immersive virtual reality experience, the scholar Rachel Kolb shares her experience of hearing music for the first time after receiving a cochlear implant. Sensations of Sound allows you to explore the hand-drawn world of deaf animator, James Merry. This piece is intended to be viewed on the Vive and made it's debut at the Margaret Meade Film Festival at the American Museum of Natural History.
